The Christian Democtratic Party is making its way into the New Millenium.
The Christian Democratic Party (CDP) was founded in February 1999 by Christine West based in Greater Manchester. She laid the groundwork for the first Christian Democratic Party in Britain. Christine said “It is sad to see that Christians and like-minded people have no voice and no representation in our democracy.
We are Trinitarian and are inspired by the Ten Commandments, Christian thinking and Christian social and democratic teaching. We believe that in a diverse society like ours, we need to respect all people’s views and equally show a desire to improve people’s quality of life and nurture their potentials. Christians face great challenges in today`s world. Apart from influencing good, we must also arrest secularism and political correctness.

Most of Britain’s political parties and the establishment seem to be riddled with secularism and political correct values. They seem to discriminate against Christians in particular, but they also seem to attack the British way of life. Christians can make a real difference, if they participate more actively in the peaceful pursuit of Christian politics, including joining, generally helping, standing in elections, voting for and/or financing the Christian Democratic Party. Everybody can do something.
We believe that a secular political environment alone is harming our society, and that we need a better balanced society with good moral, ethical and civil condition.
In response to many anxious people’s worries we want to challenge bad attitudes and policy making and show them that we care about their worries and aspiration in their lives. We want to help people (individuals or in groups) to develop and prosper in a kinder more just and more secure world, free from harm, prejudices and discrimination.

We believe that a diverse society like ours needs to respect all people’s views and equally show a desire to improve people’s quality of life and nurture their potentials.
The Christian Democratic Party is not left-wing, right-wing or to the centre, we are Christian Democrats. Christian Democracy is a political ideology that seeks to apply Christian values to public policy. Our values are good, timeless and stable and are worth promoting.
Creating a better political balance
Most of Britain’s political parties and the establishment seem to be riddled with secular and political correct values, avoiding to recognize other peoples views and values. This is creating a serious political imbalance in our society which needs to be addressed.
Christians and like-minded people can make a real difference, if they participate more actively in the peaceful pursuit of Christian politics and take responsibility to create a better political balance.
